I started teaching at Nassau CC in September 1996. Prior to that, I taught for three years at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. I earned by PhD and MA in American Literature at the University of Rochester (Rochester, NY). My BA in English and American Literature is from Brown University (Providence, RI). I am a native New Yorker and grew up on Long Island.
