I am a proud graduate of the Surgical Technology Program at Nassau Community College and obtained my CST after graduation. I continued my education in Nursing at Adelphi University and obtained my RN License plus CNOR after graduation.
Upon graduation I began working at South Nassau Communities Hospital in the Operating Room. I continued my career in the Operating Room at Fairfax Hospital in Virginia, University Hospital at Stonybrook in Stonybrook, New York, and Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York. I also worked in the Emergency Room at Potomac Hospital in Virginia. I have been teaching in the Surgical Technology Program at Nassau Community College since the year 2000. All faculty in the Surgical Technology Program are also active members in the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST).
My past employment experiences include an extensive background in Level I Trauma, General Surgery, ENT Surgery, Head & Neck Surgery, OB-GYN Surgery, Ophthalmic Surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, GU Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, TCV Surgery, and Neuro Surgery both as a CST and RN.
