I received an M.A. in English Education from Lehman College/CUNY and a Ph.D. in English from The Graduate Center/CUNY.  I began my teaching career in 1989, and have taught at John Jay College (CUNY), Lehman College (CUNY), Bronx Community College (CUNY), New Jersey Institute of Technology, Felician College, and Fairleigh Dickinson University.  I am interested in how various media influence or contribute to writing, and I try to include the study of images and music into all of my classes.
